the only person who was even CLOSE was Megan - and she just really HOPED the Giants would win!
So for that, kudos to you, Megan, on this snowy day in Chicago!
The Giants pulled it off, something I said they would do the moment they made it into the Super Bowl - Jim never believed me.
Now on to a new poll:
Give your thoughts on the following:
1. The Ads
2. The halftime show with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.
Go.

To me the half time show was boring!!! In our teenagers words, "BOOOOOO!!!!" I mean I guess it is a good thing that no clothes went flyin off this time, but still...WAY TOO BORING!
As to the adds. The baby one and the animals in the road were my two favs. I didn't think they were all that great this year. But thats alright. THE GIANTS WON!!!
Did you see Eli right before they made the last big touchdown call his brother Payton in the box and say, "Brother, what do I do. I know you are such a better quarter back than I am! I need your help!" HAHA Just kidding, but Payton is better. He just wanted to give his brother a shot at winning too. Two mannings winning two years in a row!
GO GIANTS!
I didn't personally get to see any adds, and I was so bored by the senior citizen half time show. I really wanted to see Paula and Randy on the pre-show and I missed it. Did you see it?
NO! Definitely didn't catch it - but it's online and heard it's HORRENDOUS!
Although the halftime show was less than exciting, I thought Petty sounded pretty good. I saw some of the commercials in between getting my heinie handed to me in foosball by Doug and Joe. Even P. Erik's amazing foosball-goodness couldn't make up for my poor play.
I did see one Comcast commercial on youtube that made me laugh quite a bit though.

Tom Petty...umm looks so old..it's so sad. He sounded good live though, but man did the band get old!
Commericals were pretty good. Not enough to make me sit during breaks and watch them...but they were alright.
What did you think?
1. The ads were not as good as years past although E-Trade likely had the best.
2. I didn't mind the halftime show and actually looked forward to it. How can you not like Tom Petty? Granted, he's old but his music is timeless. Wish the same could be said for anything played on top 40 radio.
I liked the more subdued performance because it allowed the music to speak for itself. They don't necessarily have to dance around the stage for it to be a good performance. Although it would be nice to have both, good music always trumps good stage presence.
What's cool to see is the spike in sales due to their performance. Their Greatest Hits album is in the top 5 at itunes and in the top 10 at Amazon. It looks like the performance garnered a lot more fans.
ummm I spelled "ads" wrong in my previous comment. I apologize for my bad speling. (he hee)
