For those of you who may not have heard, a pregnant “man” was recently on Oprah. I don’t have time to post terribly long on this issue, but trust me - a much longer post is coming. If you haven’t had the opportunity to dive into this story, take a moment to check it out online. I have a few main points and then I’d like to hear your opinion on the whole thing.
1. This person is not a man. Yes, they have physically manipulated their physical body and hormonal make-up to reflect that of a man, but on the inside, he is definitely a woman.
2. He was born biologically a woman and arguably, after his “changes,” he is now a hermaphrodite, not a full-fledged man.
3. If I look at my computer and call it a phone, it does not make my computer a phone – even if I modify it to look like one.

Whether we recognize it or not, there are a lot of people who cannot easily be defined as a man. For example, there's a significant part of the population that's born genetically male, but their body never reacts to the testosterone, and so they develop as females.
Similarly, there are females born with excess testosterone, and are born with almost a small penis.
If you are genetically male, but physically female and were raised female and have always accepted yourself as a female, only to find out later that you're genetically male... how do you decide?
There's always been confusion there. What are you if you're XXY? Do you go by genetics alone? Physical traits? Inner voice?
I say, if the person defines himself as a man, then he's a man. He would know better than any of us.
Sam..I agree with you 100 %. "He" obviously has internal female organs, so "he" is therefore a "she". This is bizarre, and so sad to see how people distort what is supposed to be good.
I guess I'd have to take time to read up ton the story. Did this person take male hormones so that he/she would grow facial hair and begin the intentional sexchange process? Definately a female then.
I heard about this yesterday. It is so distrubing! It is up to God NOT man to make that choice. God brought him into this world a woman than that is what he should be leaving!I think it should be against the law for him to get pregnant!
BE A MAN OR A WOMAN. Don't try to be both!
